	CATHY CEBULSKI SACCO Cathy Cebulski Sacco holds a Masters degree in Education from Xavier University and has studied art at the Baker Hunt Foundation in Covington, Kentucky with Michael Scott and Cole Carothers, at the Cincinnati Art Academy, Arrowmont School of Art in Tennessee and Villa Nova University's summer program in Italy. She has exhibited regionally in several solo shows, as well as group shows at the Behringer Crawford Museum and the YWCA through Women Writing For A Change in Cincinnati. She has also participated in collections at The Christ Hospital, the Cinergy Foundation, and The Alliance Institute For Integrative Medicine. Her work can be found in many private collections throughout the country. She is a member of the Art Club of Cincinnati. Using a variety of subject matter, Cathy creates landscapes, still life and figurative work using rich earth tones and a technique of underpainting and glazing used by old world masters. Working in oils, she evokes drama through the use of dark and light contrast, sometimes juxtaposing artwork with writing. "I like to create opportunities for people to reflect on the relationship between inner and outer life, on constrasts. I am very much interestd in the path that each of us takes, and the visual metaphor for what that is." A former Montessori teacher, she also teaches art in her studio and on location with small groups of children. She often encourages children to use writing to deepen the creative process. She is currently working on a collection of poetry and a children's book, and also writes articles on child development. Her husband John, and daughter, Emma, are continuous sources of support and inspiration.
